Defibrillator in Walton, Wetherby

In September 2016 Walton obtained it’s very own defibrillator. A small yellow box appeared on the wall of the local pub – The Fox and Hounds.

A defibrillator is a machine designed to save lives. If a person collapses, once 999 is called they will give the person a code to open the box. While the ambulance is dispatched, the defibrillator can be attached to the person and will deliver a small shock if it detects an abnormal rhythm that will respond to a shock. No skill is required except common sense and a desire to help while waiting for the emergency services.
