On Saturday 29th April The Tour De Yorkshire came close to our village and many of the local villagers used the newly constructed cycle path to gain front-row views as the cyclist whizzed by.

The cycle track usage continues to grow as more friends and villagers become familiar with this superb facility. It was lovely to see such a national event in close proximity of the village and a real family event getting together to celebrate all that’s great in our community.

This and another highlight of the year will be discussed and reviewed at the next parish council meeting which will take place on 8th May at 7.30 in the village hall – everyone is welcome.
