Walton is now triggering the formal Regulation 14 ‘pre-submission’ consultation procedure. It is a statutory and essential process which ensures a formal consultation of those who have an interest in the proposed developments within the draft Plan. It will last for 6 weeks (19th August till 6th October) and it will incorporate,

  • An ‘every household’ letter drop within the Parish – incorporating a copy of a summary of the Plan and a questionnaire – seeking views on the proposed policies within the draft Plan.
  • Communications with a range of national and local organisations and agencies who are likely to have an interest in the Plan.
  • An availability to see the full Plan and appendices at key venues – including the Fox and Hounds Pub, Wetherby and Boston Spa Library’s.
  • On a loan basis from Brodie Clark, 4 Farm Close or Richard Prudhoe, Holly Cottage, Main St – both Walton.

….and most easily available, the full draft Plan, appendices, historical information about the development of the Plan and lots more – on this website! Please have a look at the full draft Plan.

Your views matter greatly, so does feed back to us through one of the questionnaires or on the survey which is linked to this site. We will also be holding two (Walton) village hall open events – Saturday 2nd September (2.00pm – 5.00pm) and Saturday 30th September (10.00am – 5.00pm).

Please join us at either of those events – a cup of tea, loads of information about the draft Plan and an opportunity to express views and alternatives. So, the Neighbourhood Plan does matter to the future of Walton – please join in the consultation and let your voice count.

Best wishes, Brodie Clark.
